Yoga

Yoga in Sanskrit means “union.” It is a practice and philosophy that leads to the realization of our true, natural state- where Body, Mind, and Spirit are One. 

We embrace an evolutionary approach to practice that honors each person as being unique, but also interconnected. This type of practice is not based on performance, competition or achieving; but rather on accepting, experiencing and connecting with the divine essence that flows through all things. The Mandala Collective brings an intuitive and exploratory approach to yoga; weaving together heart-centered wisdom teachings, dynamic asana, breath work, meditation, yogic relaxation, mantra, music, ecstatic dance, focused joint movement, conscious awareness, and many other techniques that help us to connect with the infinite Source within. 

Our approach to Yoga seeks to take the practitioner beyond the physical asana or postures and to integrate the wisdom of Yogic philosophy into our everyday lives. Inspired by the teachings of Yoga, Bhakti, Tantra, Ayurveda, and wisdom cultivated across the world, we love sharing Yoga and we invite you to practice with us. Our heart-centered style of Yoga is designed to be accessible to all people – regardless of their cultural or spiritual background, physical capability, age, experience, or financial situation. We believe that Yoga is truly a universal practice that offers something unique to each person. Yoga can be a powerful means for self-transformation. Dive in and discover this for yourself!

At its essence, yoga is the practice of union – union with the Divine, union with your whole self, and union with the world around you. Willow’s yoga honors this true and transformative heart of yogic practice.

Union means wholeness. This can only be fully realized when the entire spectrum of energy and experience are woven together. By harmonizing and integrating the polarities and dualities of our bodies, our experience, and our world, we transcend them altogether to embody the Divine within each of us. The practice of yoga attunes and aligns us with the underlying interconnectedness of all things, helping us to move deeper into union. 

Willow’s yoga is inspired by the embodiment of yogic philosophy found in traditional styles of yoga, including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Hatha yoga. These timeless traditions offer great wisdom and insight, laying the path for self-discovery through every practice. By engaging intentionally with the movements of the body, the breath, and the mind, we come into greater harmony and union with our own self as well as the world around us. Willow offers Small Group Yoga at the Mandala Collective Mountain Center in Salida, CO. These classes provide a rich opportunity for growth and personal guidance, as each class is limited to just 3 students. For an even more personalized experience, she offers Individual Yoga in-person at MCMC and remotely via video chat.

Looking for a way to continue your practice even when your favorite Yoga Studio is closed? Or perhaps you enjoy the luxury and privacy of diving into your practice from the comfort of your own home. This donation based online class just may be for you! All classes will be accessible to attend live via Zoom classroom and Facebook live, but don’t worry, if the time isn’t quite right for you all classes will be recorded onto Facebook, YouTube and our Yoga tab for future enjoyment. The Zoom link & password can be found on the Mandala Collective Facebook page and on our Calendar tab.

This approach to Yoga is meant to be accessible from wherever we each are in our own Yogic journey. Weaving together Yogic philosophy, heart-centric world teachings, sacred devotional sound & mantra, Pranayama breathing, intentional energetic movement, ecstatic dance & affirmation, focused joint movement, dynamic held asana(postures) and conscious relaxation, Trika Yoga seeks to take the practitioner into deepest levels of connection with our true Selves, bringing awareness to our innate interconnectedness with the Cosmic energy that underlies all things.
