the Mandala Collective Presents
Yoga
Yoga in Sanskrit means “union.” It is a practice and philosophy that leads to the realization of our true, natural state- where Body, Mind, and Spirit are One.
We embrace an evolutionary approach to practice that honors each person as being unique, but also interconnected. This type of practice is not based on performance, competition or achieving; but rather on accepting, experiencing and connecting with the divine essence that flows through all things. The Mandala Collective brings an intuitive and exploratory approach to yoga; weaving together heart-centered wisdom teachings, dynamic asana, breath work, meditation, yogic relaxation, mantra, music, ecstatic dance, focused joint movement, conscious awareness, and many other techniques that help us to connect with the infinite Source within.
Our approach to Yoga seeks to take the practitioner beyond the physical asana or postures and to integrate the wisdom of Yogic philosophy into our everyday lives. Inspired by the teachings of Yoga, Bhakti, Tantra, Ayurveda, and wisdom cultivated across the world, we love sharing Yoga and we invite you to practice with us. Our heart-centered style of Yoga is designed to be accessible to all people – regardless of their cultural or spiritual background, physical capability, age, experience, or financial situation. We believe that Yoga is truly a universal practice that offers something unique to each person. Yoga can be a powerful means for self-transformation. Dive in and discover this for yourself!
Yoga with Willow Pogue
Through yoga, one is able to weave balance & harmony through all levels of their being – body, mind, heart & soul. This holistic integration is what drew Willow to yoga in the first place, and what keeps her centered in the practice every day.
Willow was introduced to yoga at an early age and discovered a natural resonance. This took on a new depth when she was living in New Zealand after graduating from high school. While going through a whirlwind of transformation in her life, her daily yoga practice at a studio overlooking the ocean became a refuge, an anchor & a place of safety for her. When she returned to the United States, she dove into a deep study of massage therapy, energy healing & integrative bodywork. Yoga maintained its place of immense value & importance in her life, as she began sharing these powerful tools with others.
The yoga that Willow offers is both explorative & restorative, helping people to fully embody their innate wholeness and re-connect with their power & peace. Her yoga is an integration of transformational practices – rooted in traditional Hatha & Ashtanga practice, infused with the fluidity & fun of Vinyasa, brightened by her connection to energy healing, and steeped in the deep wisdom of the meditative path. She completed her 200-hour training in Vinyasa yoga, and is currently engaged in a 500-hour training in ParaYoga, studying under the founder Rod Stryker. Willow’s teaching is nourished & inspired by her daily personal practice, and is expanded further by her experience in a constellation of healing modalities.
Willow offers individual yoga sessions for those looking to dive deeper into their practice, as well as teaching classes at Yoga Olas and offering free outdoor yoga classes at the Mandala Collective in Salida, CO.
